Azerbaijan’s state-owned banks see growth in provision of crediting

As of May 1, 2021, the provision of crediting in Azerbaijan’s economy stood at AZN 14,987.5 million, up 1.8% from April 1, 3.1% from early 2021, and down 1.1% from a year earlier.
The provision of crediting by the private banks amounted to AZN 11,763.7 million, which is 2.7% less than a year ago.
State-owned banks’ credits made up AZN 2,848.1 million, showing a 7.6% rise by contrast to a year ago. Share of state-owned banks in the provision of crediting increased from 17.5% to 19%.
The provision of crediting by Non-Banking Credit Institutions (NBCI) accounted for AZN 375.7 million, 7.2% less than 2020.
