Azerbaijan's investments in Georgia fall

Tbilisi. 10 December. REPORT.AZ/ In January-September 2018 Azerbaijan invested $169.8 million in Georgia’s economy, down $196.1 million or 53.5% from the previous year, Report informs citing the National Statistical Office of Georgia.

Azerbaijan invested $56.2 million in Georgia in the first quarter of 2018, $80.5 million in the second quarter, $33.1 million in the third quarter. Azerbaijan’s share in direct investments made in Georgia in the third quarter amounted to 10.3%.

Azerbaijan followed Netherlands ($139.8 million) and South Korea ($38.8 million) for investment in Georgia in the third quarter.

In the third quarter of 2018, direct investments  in Georgia amounted to $322.6 million, down 48.2% in comparison to a year earlier
