Azerbaijan repays nearly 500 million manats in debt in Q1

In the first quarter of this year, 6% of Azerbaijan’s state budget expenditures — amounting to 486.7 million manats — were allocated to servicing public debt and obligations.
According to Report, citing the Ministry of Finance, this figure represents a 55.3% decrease compared to the same period in 2024.
During the quarter, 110.4 million manats were paid toward domestic public debt (interest payments), while payments on external public debt amounted to 376.3 million manats — including 235.8 million manats toward the principal and 140.5 million manats in interest.
For the full year, 2.3996 billion manats have been allocated from the state budget for servicing debts and obligations.
