Azerbaijan posts 22% drop in troubled loans

As of May 1, 2024, overdue loans in Azerbaijan amounted to 462.2 million manats (about $271.89 million), down 1.8% percent from a month earlier, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
Also, the amount of troubled loans in the country rose by 5.6% compared to the beginning of the year, while it decreased by 21.9% in contrast to a year earlier.
By the end of April 2024, the share of overdue loans in the total loan portfolio was 1.8%. This figure was 1.9% as of the end of March 2024, 1.8% at the end of December 2023, and 2.8% at the end of April 2023.
