Azerbaijan, Iraq discuss improving monetary policy transmission

Azerbaijan and Iraq have discussed enhancing monetary policy transmission mechanisms, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
CBA Governor Taleh Kazimov met with Ali Mohsen Al‑Alaq, Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, who is visiting Azerbaijan as part of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group's 51st Annual Meetings.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on improving monetary policy transmission, expanding instant and QR‑based payments, and deepening correspondent banking relations.
They also considered opportunities to organize bilateral meetings, professional training, and exchange programs to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries' central banks and financial sectors.
