The European Central Bank (ECB) following the meeting on March 16 will raise the base rate by 50 basis points, to 3.5% from 3% per annum, Report informs referring to analysts interviewed by the DailyFX portal.

The US Department of Labor is expected to release data on the number of initial jobless claims for the week ending March 11. Analysts suggest that the figure fell by 6,000 to 205,000 applications.
