While earlier inflation in Azerbaijan affected only the poor, now it has also affected the middle class, MP Ali Masimli said at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship.
In addition, according to him, bank interest rates in the country are quite high: “The reality is that the banking sector has created comfort for itself, earning on high interest rates and commissions by cashing out. Banks put their own funds into circulation by providing loans to entrepreneurs at high interest rates. "A bank that issues a loan at 20-21% per annum leaves the entrepreneur with the possibility of only 4-5% profit."
