The polymer plant in Kiyanly and the gas chemical complex for the production of synthetic gasoline in Akhal have been transferred from the Turkmengaz State Concern to the Turkmenkhimiya State Concern.

Report informs that this decision was made to increase efficiency in the management of enterprises and optimize the industrial structure of the Turkmen economy, including the fuel and energy complex.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted a decrease in the production of polyethylene and polypropylene, the volume of oil production and its refined products, and ordered the use of advanced technologies in these industries. The head of state gave the enterprises’ managers instructions on building underground gas storage facilities and creating appropriate engineering and technical amenities to ensure flexibility and reliability of gas supplies to consumers.

The president ordered to strengthen geological exploration on the Caspian shelf and develop new fields, as well as to prepare proposals for attracting leading oil and gas companies and investments.
