Transit oil transportation via BTC slides 21%

Azerbaijan transported 20.366 million tons of oil via the main pipelines in January-July 2021, down 3 percent from the previous year, Report informs citing the State Statistics Committee.
Some 74.9 percent of transportation operations were carried out via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline. The pipeline transported 15.244 million tons of oil, down 9 percent from the same period last year.
During the reporting period, the volume of transit oil via BTC amounted to 1.9 million tons (a 20.7 percent decrease over the same period in 2020).
