Structure proposed within OTS for joint use of energy potential

The creation of a separate institutional structure within the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) has been proposed to enable the joint use of the energy potential of member states, Ibrahim Mammadov, head of the Turkic-Western Cooperation Initiative (TWEI) at Hungary's Danube Institute, said at the 2nd International Conference of Leading National Think Tanks of the OTS.

Report quotes him as saying there is a need within the OTS to establish a separate agency or institutional structure related to energy production and the efficient use of energy resources.

"As artificial intelligence technologies and digitalization processes are developing rapidly, demand for energy on a large scale will emerge. We are all countries with rich energy resources. So why not act together in this area? All decisions depend on us ourselves. I would even say that integrating our systems is a strategic necessity for all our countries," Mammadov noted.
