SOCAR names priority fields in south of Caspian Sea

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has identified the Babak, Nakhchivan, and Zafar fields in the south of the Caspian Sea as priority areas, SOCAR Vice President Arzu Javadova stated during panel discussions on the second day of Baku Energy Week, Report informs.
The SOCAR Vice President noted the company continues exploration activities in major gas-condensate structures in the Southern Caspian: "Our main focus is on deepwater areas, including Babak, Nakhchivan, Zafar-Mashal, Shafag-Asiman, and Ashaghi Surakhani structures. These directions could play an important role in expanding Azerbaijan's gas resource base in the future."
