Since the start of commercial operations, the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) has supplied a total of 77.6 billion cubic meters of gas to Türkiye and Europe, Saltuk Duzyol, CEO of TANAP A.Ş., said during ministerial meetings in Baku within the framework of the Consultative Councils on the Southern Gas Corridor and Green Energy.
He emphasized that TANAP is a key link in the Southern Gas Corridor, being the longest (3,500 km) and the widest in diameter segment of the system.
"Since the beginning of commercial operations on June 30, 2018, TANAP has been operating reliably and safely. The pilot operation phase began on June 30, 2020, with an annual supply volume of 5.7 billion cubic meters. To date, 32.2 billion cubic meters of gas have been delivered to Türkiye, including 6 billion cubic meters under a flexible schedule and nominations," he stated.
According to Duzyol, commercial gas deliveries to Europe began on December 31, 2020, with the commissioning of the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP).
"The pilot phase of exports to Europe started on January 1, 2022. Since then, 10.5 billion cubic meters of gas have been supplied annually via TAP. The total volume of deliveries to Europe has reached 45.38 billion cubic meters, including 4.4 billion cubic meters transported under a flexible schedule and nominations," he added.
