Prabowo Subianto to visit Russia for talks on oil supplies to Indonesia

President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto is planning a visit to Russia to discuss energy cooperation and securing oil supplies for Indonesia, local media reported, citing Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

According to Report, the visit has already been scheduled, although exact dates have not been announced.

"This visit is indeed planned, but the official schedule will be published later by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," he said.

The trip comes as Indonesia seeks to diversify its energy partnerships in response to volatile global oil prices and supply disruptions linked to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

At present, Indonesia imports crude oil and liquefied petroleum gas from the United States and several African countries, while petroleum product supplies mainly flow through regional hubs such as Singapore and Malaysia.
