Global oil prices grew on Friday morning with the July futures on Brent increasing 0.95% to $73.19 per barrel and the June futures for WTI rising 0.89% to $69.17.
Positive sentiment may also be supported by macro statistics from the US. So, back on Wednesday, the US Department of Energy published official data on commercial oil reserves in the country. In the week ending April 28, the figure fell by 1.28 billion barrels, with investors expecting a reduction of only 1.1 billion. This is also the third consecutive week of large declines in these inventories.
