Nakhchivan fully covers electricity demand with renewable energy

Electricity demand in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was met entirely through renewable energy sources between April 21 and July 2, 2026.
According to Azerbaijan's Ministry of Energy, cited by Report, during the period, 104.486 million kWh of electricity was generated by hydroelectric power plants, while 13.888 million kWh was produced by solar power plants, bringing total electricity generation from renewable sources to 118.374 million kWh.
