Kyrgyzstan intends to receive ADB loan to purchase electricity

Kyrgyzstan may receive $50 million from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to purchase electricity from other countries. The draft agreement was considered in parliament yesterday in the first reading, Deputy Finance Minister Ruslan Tatikov said, Report informs via Kyrgyz media.
According to Tatikov, $25 million will be a grant, and the rest will be a loan. Funds are issued for 24 years at a rate of 1.5%, of which eight years are preferential at a rate of 1%.
Tatikov said that internal funds are now being spent on restoring the Batken region and building schools and kindergartens. For this reason, it is necessary to attract funds from outside.
