Iran sets record for oil exports

Iran’s oil exports for November 2022 hit a record since 2018, when the US administration led by President Donald Trump withdrew from the nuclear deal with Tehran by imposing a new package of sanctions against it, Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji said, Report informs referring to Tasnim Agency.

“This is the highest record since 2018 (beginning of…Trump sanctions against Iran) until now,” Owji said.

At the same time, the minister didn’t give exact figures for the previous and new volumes of oil exports.

In 2015, the UK, Germany, China, Russia, the US, France and Iran concluded a nuclear deal - the JCPOA on the Iranian nuclear program, which involved the lifting of sanctions in exchange for limiting Iran’s nuclear program. In May 2018, the US under Donald Trump withdrew from the JCPOA and reinstated sanctions against Tehran, including on Iranian oil exports.
