Turkiye is preparing to create a gas hub through which fuel will be supplied to Europe, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a meeting with youth in the city of Sanliurfa in the southeast of the country.
"As you know, (Russian President Vladimir) Putin proposed distributing natural gas through Turkiye to Europe. We are carrying out preparatory work in this direction," Erdogan said.
Putin put forward the idea of creating a hub on Turkish territory, where the lost volume of transit through the Nord Stream can be redirected, at the Russian Energy Week forum.
