Energy specialists from Central Asian countries to gather in Samarkand

The 42nd meeting of the Coordination Commission and the 40th meeting of the Central Asian Coordination Electricity Council will be held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, on October 25-26, 2023, Report informs via Uzbek media.

The energy forum will bring together representatives of specialized organizations and structures of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan. Experts from Russia will also take part in the event as observers.

Experts will deeply analyze the issues of preparation in the Central Asian region for the autumn-winter season of 2023-2024 and the work done in this direction. The disadvantages and ways to solve them will also be discussed.

The participants are expected to discuss the necessary practices to ensure the stability of power supply in Central Asia, preventing cascading power outages, connecting renewable energy sources to power grids, their proper operation, as well as prospects for the rational use of the region’s water resources.
