Power generation in Lachin increases nearly 19-fold in three years

A total of 417.5 million kWh of electricity was generated in Azerbaijan's Lachin district in 2025.

According to the State Statistical Committee, cited by Report, this represents a 14.2% increase compared with 2024.

Power generation in Lachin resumed in 2022, following the district's liberation from occupation, and has increased 18.6-fold since then.

A total of 28.683 billion kWh of electricity was generated across Azerbaijan in 2025. Of this, 9.6246 billion kWh was produced in the city of Mingachevir and 8.7082 billion kWh in Baku.
