Electricity cost up 15% in Turkiye

The Turkish authorities announced a 15% increase in the cost of electricity from June 1, following the announcement of an increase in natural gas prices by more than 30%, according to a statement, released on Wednesday by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) of Turkiye.
"Prices for electricity used in homes have increased by 15%. Prices for electricity used in the working sector have increased by 25%," the statement said.
