BTC oil transportation through Turkiye up 11%

In August 2022, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline transported 18.441 million barrels of oil through Turkiye, up 1,827,000 barrels or 11% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the Turkish pipeline operator BOTAS.
In January-August 2022, the BTC pipeline pumped 144.074 million barrels of oil through Turkiye, a rise of 12,022,000 barrels or 9.1% from the eight months of 2021.
The BTC pipeline mainly carries oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block of fields and condensate from Shah Deniz. Moreover, other crude oil and condensate volumes, including oil from Turkmenistan, Russia, and Kazakhstan, are transported through the BTC.
