BP, NOC, and Azerbaijan Paralympic Committee extend partnership until 2029

BP Exploration (Caspian Sea) Limited (BP), the National Olympic Committee (NOC), and the National Paralympic Committee of Azerbaijan (NPC Azerbaijan) have extended their partnership agreement until the end of 2028.

According to Report, the agreement was signed today by NOC Vice President Chingiz Huseynzada, NPC President Hidayat Abdullayev, and BP's Vice President for Communications and External Relations in the Caspian region, Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli.

The partnership was first signed in January 2012 and has been extended several times since: in 2013, 2016, and 2022.

The extension of the agreement with the National Olympic and Paralympic Committees of Azerbaijan demonstrates BP's long-term commitment to Azerbaijan.

NOC President Chingiz Huseynzada expressed hope that BP's support for Azerbaijani athletes will continue even after the Los Angeles Games in 2028, "depending on the results they achieve."

NPC President Hidayat Abdullayev expressed hope that this support will lead to the highest achievements by Azerbaijani Paralympians.

Aslanbayli noted that for over 30 years, BP has collaborated with various stakeholders supporting national sports in Azerbaijan to create additional opportunities for the development of national teams and athletes, as well as successful participation in major international events.

"BP will continue contributing to strengthening communities and developing national sports in Azerbaijan, in line with its commitment to supporting the country's sustainable future," he said.

Since its operations began in Azerbaijan, BP has contributed over $111 million towards social projects.
