BP continues to operate its offshore and onshore oil and gas projects despite the temporary deterioration of weather conditions in Azerbaijan since April 15, Spokesperson for BP Azerbaijan Tamam Bayatli told Report.
"Our offshore platforms and other facilities are designed and built to meet high technical safety standards, allowing them to operate in all weather conditions. In addition, BP and its partners have special procedures and regulations in place in case of adverse weather. We promptly respond to changes based on weather forecasts received in advance," Bayatli noted.
"All these rules are strictly observed at all our offshore and onshore facilities," the company representative added.
Bayatli emphasized that in case of strong winds or other unfavorable factors on platforms and other facilities, restrictions are imposed on work at height, in the open air, using cranes, and appropriate adjustments are made to work plans.
