Azerbaijan, Turkiye can deepen cooperation in energy export and transit

Azerbaijan and Turkiye considered the possibilities of deepening the export and transit of electricity, said the Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov.

According to him, this issue was discussed during the meeting with Turkish Minister of Energy Fatih Donmez.

"We evaluated the possibilities of deepening the regional and international Azerbaijan-Turkiye strategic energy partnership through the development of the Southern Gas Corridor, as well as the export and transit of electricity," Shahbazov noted.

During the meeting, discussions will be held on cooperation in the fields of oil and gas, petrochemical, renewable and smart energy, energy efficiency, green energy transition, and sustainable energy development. Shahbazov's speech at the conference and then bilateral meetings are planned.
