Azerbaijan starts importing kerosene from Saudi Arabia

In January-November 2024, Azerbaijan imported 21,842 tons of kerosene fuel (excluding kerosene fuel for jet engines) worth $19.21 million, Report inform, citing the State Statistical Committee.
This is 30% less in value terms and 21% less in quantity compared to the same period in 2023.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased kerosene from:
- From Turkmenistan: 15,198 tons (+72%) worth $8.75 million (+77%);
- From Belgium: 4,441 tons (-14%) worth $6.95 million (-15%);
- From Singapore: 1,497 tons worth $2.12 million (no supply in the previous year);
- From Saudi Arabia: 489 tons worth $870,000;
- From Türkiye: 153 tons (-94%) worth $241,000 (-95%).
In 2024, for the first time in the last 13 years (note: official statistics on foreign trade available for public use date back to 2011), supplies were received from Saudi Arabia.
