Azerbaijan slightly increases methanol exports

In 2023, Azerbaijan exported 501,571.52 tons of methanol (methyl alcohol) worth $89,858,380, respectively, up 0.55%, and down 31.9% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.
The share of methanol in Azerbaijan's non-oil exports amounted to 2.68 %. During the reporting period, the percentage of methanol in a primary form in the country's total exports amounted to 0.27%.
In 2023, Azerbaijan conducted trade transactions with foreign countries worth $51.184 billion. Export operations amounted to $33.899 billion, while import operations made up $17.285 billion.
