Azerbaijan sees 11% decrease in oil pumping via BTC

Azerbaijan transported 34.720 million tons of oil via its main pipelines last year, Report informs citing the State Statistics Committee.
Some 79.1 percent of transportation operations were carried out via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline.
During the year, the volume of transported oil decreased by 10.5 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2019.
In January-November last year, 27.480 million tons of oil were pumped via the BTC pipeline, a drop of 11.3 percent from the same period of the previous year.
During the reporting period, oil transit via BTC amounted to 3.886 million tons (a 13.16 percent decrease).
