Azerbaijan ranks first among countries supplying bunker fuel to Türkiye

Azerbaijan exported more than 23,421 tons of bunker fuel to Türkiye in January-February 2024, Report informs via the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).

During the reporting period, Türkiye imported a total of 37,811 tons of bunker oil from 7 countries (Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Italy, Israel, and Portugal). Azerbaijan's share in the total volume of bunker fuel supply to Türkiye was 62%.

In February alone, the supply of bunker fuel from Azerbaijan exceeded 9,639 tons, which is 47% of the total supply to Türkiye for the reporting period.

Overall, more than 20,537 tons of bunker fuel were supplied to Türkiye in February of this year, representing a 1.66% increase from February 2023. The supply was made from Russia, Italy, Israel, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan.
