Baku. 14 December. REPORT.AZ/ "In some cases intermediary companies obtain permissions for foreign hunters arriving in the country and create conditions for their hunting of species that were added into the 'Red Book' of Azerbaijan and 'Red list' of the International Union for Conservation of Nature," Director of the Department on Protection of Biodiversity and Development of Specially Protected Natural Areas Hikmat Alizade said.
He noted that if such cases are revealed, the cooperation with such intermediary companies will be suspended and the respective bodies will be applied to for elimination of their licenses on tourism activity: "The Ministry urges the citizens and intermediary companies to treat these issues with greater responsibility and observe the requirements of the working legislation."
The ministry official noted that the fines for the use or illegal hunting of wild animals are regulated by the 'Kinds, stakes, rules of application of fees for the use of the fauna and fines for illegal hunting of animals' approved by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers under No 176 of November 6, 2004.
