IPC: Azerbaijan demonstrated commitment to democratic principles

Azerbaijan has demonstrated its commitment to democratic principles and institutions, the Secretary General of the International Parliamentarians Congress (IPC) Sitara Ayaz said, commenting on the snap parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, Report informs.
"We visited about ten polling stations and we would like to note the good preparation and complete transparency of the elections," she said.
Sitara Ayaz also stressed that the voting process was well organized. "Everything was held at a very high level. The staff was very well trained, and some polling stations were equipped to facilitate voting for people with disabilities," she noted.
In conclusion, Sitara Ayaz expressed hope for further cooperation between the IPC and Azerbaijan.
