Ilham Aliyev: October 17 will take special place in centuries-old history of Azerbaijani people

A year ago, the brave Azerbaijani army liberated the city of Fuzuli and several villages from the invaders and raised the flag of Azerbaijan. Thus, after a long break, the Azerbaijani state ensured its sovereignty in these territories, President Ilham Aliyev said at a meeting with Fuzuli public representatives, Report informs.

"This is a historical event. That moment - October 17 will take a special place in the centuries-old history of the Azerbaijani people because on October 17, our big city of Fuzuli was liberated from the occupiers," the head of state said.
