The 2nd International Conference "Right to Return: Promoting Justice for Azerbaijanis Forcibly Expelled from Armenia" has kicked off in Baku.
Report informs that the conference organized by the Western Azerbaijan Community will continue for two days.
The conference is attended by representatives from 51 countries, including Türkiye, the US, the UK, Russia, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Belgium, Georgia, Canada, Spain, Switzerland, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malta, Japan, Albania, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, and China.
Additionally, there are 101 foreign guests from Denmark, Ethiopia, Estonia, Algeria, France, Croatia, Jordan, Iraq, Korea, Lithuania, Hungary, Malaysia, Morocco, Egypt, Montenegro, Nepal, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, North Macedonia, Thailand, Ukraine, and New Zealand.
Among the participants are 11 parliament members from 7 countries, one presidential advisor, one advisor to a country's vice-president, one former minister, former ambassadors from two countries, 24 professors from 23 renowned universities of 17 countries, 14 active members of the Azerbaijani diaspora, founders and leaders from 20 research centers and academies from 17 countries, 12 leaders and experts from international research institutes from 11 countries, 3 government council members representing 3 countries, 8 lawyers and human rights defenders representing 8 countries, 1 movement leader, responsible staff from various parliament offices, journalists, and businesspeople.
During the conference, 16 people representing 10 countries were accepted as honorary members of the Western Azerbaijan Community.
The event is also attended by more than 25 diplomatic missions accredited in Azerbaijan.
