Azerbaijan to launch electronic "State Register of Motor Roads"

Baku. 28 December. REPORT.AZ/ The electronic database of the "State Register of Motor Roads" will be created in Azerbaijan in 2019-2021, in line with the State Program “On Road Traffic Safety in the Republic of Azerbaijan” for 2019-2023.

The aim of the electronic database is to computerize the activities in the field of traffic safety.

The State Program also provides for the establishment of the  "State Register of Motor Roads".

The list of works ahead also includes creation of an interactive electronic map of Azerbaijan's automobile roads network to be coordinated with the Global Positioning System (GPS).

The main works envisaged in the state program approved by President Ilham Aliyev are performed by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies.  The State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads and State Property Committee are listed among other executive bodies.
