Azerbaijan discloses number of landmines found in liberated territories last week

Some 43 anti-tank mines, 162 anti-personnel mines, and 2,777 pieces of unexploded ordnance were discovered and neutralized in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, on October 21-27, the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) said in a weekly update.

The operations were carried out by ANAMA, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the State Border Service.

Also, 1,115 hectares of land were cleared of mines.
