More than 300 Azerbaijani students facing temporary difficulties with the COVID-19 pandemic in Turkey's Sakarya province have been provided with material and food support, Report says, citing the State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
The head of the Sakarya Azerbaijan-Turkey Brotherhood Community, Vugar Nasirov, said that 200 students received food aid and 100 students had financial support (50 received direct financial assistance, while 50 provided with shopping cards) within the humanitarian actions during the holy month of Ramadan. "The charity event also involved students and their families who came to Sakarya from other cities for travel and personal business before the pandemic and were unable to return to their places of residence during the quarantine period," the statement said.
