UK ambassador congratulates Azerbaijan on Language Day

The United Kingdom's new ambassador to Azerbaijan, Duncan Norman, has congratulated the Azerbaijani people on August 1 – Azerbaijani Alphabet and Language Day, and recited an excerpt from national poet Bakhtiyar Vahabzada's poem "Mother Tongue."
According to Report, the diplomat shared the relevant video on his page on the X social media platform.
"I sincerely congratulate the people of Azerbaijan on August 1 – Azerbaijani Alphabet and Language Day, and express my deep respect for the rich literary heritage represented by the Azerbaijani language," Duncan Norman said.
