Second International Baku Piano Festival kicks off

Organized with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the second international Baku Piano Festival was opened with a bright concert by world-famous virtuoso pianists Shahin Novrasli and Helene Mercier, Report informs.

The musical program of the evening began with a classical waltz from the ballet "Seven Beauties" by Azerbaijani composer Gara Garayev performed by the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra named after Uzeyir Hajibayli conducted by Valid Agha.

The audience was impressed by the legendary "Rhapsody in Blue" by USA composer George Gershwin, performed by Shahin Novrasli and Helene Mercier, accompanied by Ruslan Huseynov (bass), Elvin Bashirov (drums) and the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli, conducted by Valid Agha. The magical rhapsody created by virtuoso musicians immersed the audience in an enchanting atmosphere of harmony, making this evening unforgettable.
The finale of the concert was the encore performance of the works of the Azerbaijani jazz legend Vagif Mustafazadeh, which was met with admiration by the audience.

The concert ended with a standing ovation from the entire audience. The audience did not want to let the artists go for a long time, thanking them with numerous bouquets of flowers and warm applause.
