People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Teymur Mirzayev has died at the age of 85, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture told Report.
Mirzayev was born in 1936 in Aghdam. In 1961, he became the creator, artistic director and soloist of the Gaya State Ensemble. Mirzayev popularized Azerbaijani music in many countries. He lived in Israel for a long time.
