Margarine exports to main supply market of Azerbaijan decrease sharply

In January-May of this year, 590.19 tons (-39.1%) of margarine (except liquid margarine) worth $914,980 (-19%) were brought to Azerbaijan from abroad, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.
Some 545.49 tons (-34.7%) of products worth $770,760 were purchased from Russia (-16.1%), 37.72 tons (-41.5%) worth $134,840 (+9.8%) ) from Turkiye, 6.7 tons (-88.1%) worth $8,710 (-88.2%) from Ukraine, 0.28 tons (-22.2%) worth $640 (-9.9%) from Belarus, and 0.01 tons (-66.7 %) worth $40 (-81 %) from Germany.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan sold abroad 476.95 tons (-44.2%) of margarine worth $800,460 (+26%).
Of this, 466.95 tons (-45.4%) worth $784,220 (-27.3%) were sent to Georgia and 10 tons worth $16,230 to Uzbekistan.
After a break of one year and three months, the supply to Uzbekistan was resumed.
Azerbaijan mainly sells margarine to Georgia. This country accounted for 100% of last year's export volume, 79.2% in 2020, 83.7% in 2019, and 87.8% in 2018.
