Elon Musk has lost about $140 billion of personal wealth since the beginning of 2022. As of December 28, the total fortune of the billionaire is estimated at $130 billion, Report informs, citing the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
The loss of most of Musk's fortune is attributed to a 68% drop in Tesla shares and his purchase of Twitter for $44 billion.
Musk's stake in SpaceX is currently his most valuable asset, worth $47 billion, while his stake in Tesla is about $40 billion. Although the businessman acquired Twitter for $40 billion, experts value the company at only $20 billion. Also, according to Bloomberg, Musk's stake in The Boring Company is $3.3 billion.
