Azerbaijan sees 29% growth in chocolate import from Russia

In the first quarter of 2019, Azerbaijan imported chocolate products worth $12 million, up 29% from the previous year, Report informs citing Russian media.

Export of chocolate products to Azerbaijan makes up 9% of total export of Russia.

In the reporting period, Russia exported chocolate products worth $142 million, up 4% or $5.6 million in comparison to a year earlier.

In January-March Russia exported chocolate products to 57 countries. In the reporting period, chocolate products exported to Kazakhstan amounted to $28 million, up 15% by contrast to a year earlier. The share of chocolate exported to Kazakhstan was 19% of total export of Russia.

Chocolate export to China rose by 12% to $19 million or 14% of total export.

At the same time, chocolate export to Belarus dropped by 27% to $14, which makes 10% of total chocolate export of Russia.
