Azerbaijan reduced import and export of alcoholic beverages

Baku. 2 March. REPORT.AZ/ Negative trend was observed in imports of alcoholic beverages in January of this year. Report informs referring to the State Statistical Committee, in January 2015 alcoholic and soft drinks in the amount of 327.11 thousand dollars were exported, which is 3.8 times less than in January 2014.

In January, exports of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages was 0.03% of total exports.

The Committee has also noted that during the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including vinegar, for a total amount of 2 986.32 thousand dollars, which is 19.2% less compared to the same period last year . As a result, the share of these products in total imports amounted to 0.52%.
