Azerbaijan increases wine import from Georgia by 40 percent

Tbilisi. 4 January. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan bought 197,724 bottles of wine from Georgia in 2018, up 40% from previous year, Report’s local bureau informs citing National Wine Agency of Georgia.
In the reporting period, Georgia exported 86,200,000 bottles of wine to 53 countries, up 13% from 2017, a record high over the past 30 years.
Revenues from wine export rose by 20% to $203 million.
Russia heads the list of countries importing wine from Georgia with 53,682,627 bottles of wine. It is followed by Ukraine (10,687,835 bottles), China (6,951,019 bottles), Kazakhstan (3,599,143 bottles) and Poland (3,508,122 bottles).
