Azerbaijan achieves top compliance in tax information exchange, transparency

The Global Forum of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) recently conducted a rating assessment of Azerbaijan's tax administration on information exchange and transparency, said Samira Musayeva, Deputy Chief of the State Tax Service under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy, Report informs.

Musayeva made this statement at an event titled "Cooperation with business associations and entrepreneurs and its results."

According to her, tax administrations from 123 countries participated in the assessment: “Only a select few—18 tax administrations—received the highest compliance rating, with Azerbaijan's tax administration among them. Since the Global Forum's assessment criteria became stricter in 2019, only 4 new countries' tax administrations have achieved high ratings, and Azerbaijan was one of those.”
