Baku. 20 October. REPORT.AZ/ "We would like to get permission for holding exhibition of products of Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. (GCC) in Baku next year".

Report informs, Secretary General of Federation of GCC Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Abdulrahim Hassan Naqi said during business forum between Azerbaijan and GCC countries in Baku.

"Such an exhibition will help promote the products of the Gulf countries as well as the development of relations between GCC countries and Azerbaijan. In addition, financial institutions of GCC countries, as well as the Islamic Development Bank can provide the necessary investment for projects to be implemented with Azerbaijan. In order to develop mutual economic relations, a special portal can be created to facilitate the registration process of business companies. We also propose to carry out sea transportation”, Naqi said.

In addition, the Secretary General proposed allocation of cultivated land in agriculture for businessmen of GCC countries: “We would also like to have cuts in customs duties on Gulf products. At present this indicator is approaching 200%. We would also like to cancel $ 20 visa fee for citizens of GCC countries and add it to the cost of the ticket.In addition, I would like to see decrease of double taxation in Azerbaijan.

I think that the investment fund of Azerbaijan and the Commonwealth countries can be created. In turn, Azerbaijani businessmen have a great opportunity to use the market of GCC countries".
