China supports Azerbaijan's efforts to use Chinese e-commerce platforms to promote its products in the Chinese market and is ready to share its advanced experience in platform economy development, Chinese Ambassador to Baku Lu Mei said at a press conference on April 28.
Report quotes the diplomat as saying that over the next five years China plans to implement more than 300 key reforms, focusing on removing institutional barriers that hinder high-quality development. Special attention will be given to fostering new productivity sectors, including information technology, the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and clean energy.
"China does not seek isolated modernization. We are ready to work with all countries, including developing nations, to promote global modernization. Leading global companies such as Huawei, Alibaba, BYD, and DeepSeek operate in China. China is ready to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan in related fields to help bridge the digital divide and foster innovative development," Lu Mei emphasized.
She also noted that during Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Beijing, the two sides signed a series of cooperation agreements in areas such as the digital economy, industry, and aerospace. "This will bring more innovation and create new opportunities for pragmatic cooperation between our countries," the ambassador added.
Lu Mei stressed that China supports the development and revival strategy proposed by President Aliyev and is committed to contributing to Azerbaijan’s social development and improving the quality of life of its citizens.
