Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan mull new investment projects in agricultural sector

A delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan has discussed the implementation of joint projects in the food industry in Baku, Report informs via the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan.

“Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan are on an official visit to Azerbaijan. During the visit, issues of expanding investment cooperation between the two countries are being discussed, in particular, the implementation of joint projects in the food industry,” the information says.

An exchange of views took place on the prospects for implementing a joint project for the production of dairy products in Uzbekistan with one of the Azerbaijani companies. As part of this project, the Azerbaijani side is conducting a market study of Uzbekistan and developing a business model. In addition, a meeting was held with the management of the R Group Holding venture investment company during the visit.

"A project to resume the activities of the plant, which belongs to the Uzbek company Milmaxtrade and previously specialized in the production of jams, dried fruits and snacks, was presented at the meeting. Following the negotiations, an agreement was reached to hold a meeting with the head of Milmaxtrade and provide the project documentation to the Azerbaijani side," the statement said.
