Ivan Smilgin: Partnership between Belarus and Azerbaijan has reached a new, strategic level

Cooperation between Belarus and Azerbaijan has reached a strategic level, Ivan Smilgin, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus and Director of the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision, said during a business mission of Belarusian exporters to Azerbaijan, according to Report.

"Azerbaijan is an important and reliable partner for us, with whom we are building friendly, respectful and mutually beneficial relations. Foreign trade turnover between our countries has shown sustained positive growth," the Deputy Minister noted.

Smilgin emphasized that the partnership between the two countries has reached a new, strategic level.

"By combining the modern technologies of Belarusian manufacturers with the high professionalism of Azerbaijani businesses, we are not only increasing mutual trade turnover, but also making a significant contribution to ensuring food security in both countries. The Belarusian side is ready to exchange experience and organize B2B negotiations. All of this is aimed at enabling our countries and business communities to identify new areas of growth. Belarus has been and continues to be a reliable partner for Azerbaijan. We highly value the openness and constructive approach of the Azerbaijani side," Smilgin said.
