Entrepreneurs have invested 240 million manats ($141.2 million) in Azerbaijan's agricultural sector under the State Program for the Development of Production and Processing of Agricultural, Fishery and Aquaculture Products for 2026-2030.
Report's correspondent dispatched to Guba informs that Zeynal Naghdaliyev, Assistant to the President and Head of the Territorial and Organizational Issues Department of the Presidential Administration, said this at a meeting held under the State Program.
According to him, entrepreneurs who have responded to President Ilham Aliyev's call have so far invested a total of 240 million manats ($141.2 million) in various projects under the program.
"The investments are aimed at expanding production and processing capacities in agriculture, fisheries and aquaculture, creating new enterprises and increasing employment. One of the main goals of the State Program is to strengthen the country's food security, increase productivity and expand export potential. As a result of joint efforts by the state and private sector, greater results are expected in the agricultural sector in the coming years," Naghdaliyev said.
